Same Jscrilla - New Look

No, I didn’t get a haircut. I did get a new blog though. About time! I hear you. I’m tired, so I won’t go into too many details. I’ll only say that I was tired of Blogger. I used their service since 2002 and haven’t been impressed lately. I have, however, been impressed with the flexibility of WordPress. So I installed this blog.

I am disappointed in one thing. WordPress comes with an import feature, which supposedly works with the new Blogger. I can’t get it to work. It kept saying the connection was refused. So the 202 messages on Blogger will just have to stay there. I don’t think I need them here anyways. I can always figure that out later. And anyways, I was having trouble even FTPing into my account.

So not only did I migrate my blogging service to a new one, but I also migrate my website to a new server. That wasn’t too bad. I just had to wait out the DNS entry changes. That was it.

Last night I brought the cublogs.com site back up to its nubile form. I can’t believe I didn’t back up the database after I created it. For those who don’t know, my old server crapped out over the summer, which caused me to lose the entire site. I did have a backup that helped me recreate it, but its definitely not where it should be yet.

So leave me some comments. Tell me what you like, what you don’t, or something. I leave you with my magic mic.

Brian, after my October visit, I can say with certainty that the mic you’re talking about is hardly “magic”.

Keep up the good work Stray Gorilla!

The Down-low

I'm Jason Frye, the owner of this blog. While I may seem new, I actually have been blogging since 2002. The frequency with which I blogged can be debated, or not. This blog gives me a chance to vent on topics that couldn't happen on my other blogs, as well as keep in touch with those I know. More
