Well, we have something new in the works. We are in the process of adding a simple review meter to each piece on the site, so you can have at least some feedback. Comments will be coming soon. For now, the code doesn't appear to redirect correctly after submitting your vote. Just click the back button, until I figure out a work around for that problem. Rest assured, your vote is being counted.
So get busy and let us know what you think of our work!
Chris has finished updating the stories page. There's a little more information available before you click the links to the stories. I've also added two new poems to the poetry section. I'm working on a story that I began almost a year ago now and hope to have it finished soon. I would like to get comments available for each of the stories, but would have to create that and well I just don't have much time for such stuff, but do check back. You never know. I might get the ambition of a workaholic one night.
now scrilla has been published on
the writ!! go check out his excellent poem!
also, we've put together our compiled doublemuse writings, including a whopping eleven poems and ten short stories! put in your order now by emailing: comments [at] doublemuse [dot] com with your mailing address and the number of copies that you want. then click on the "make a donation" link on our front page and send us $5. what a deal! when we've received your paypal payments, we will mail the booklet immediately!
Chris has been published on
thewrit.org. Go give him support at their site!
It's not much, but a Featured section below this panel has been added. This will help people find out what the newest works are on the site. Hopefully we can continue to provide you, the viewing public, with our latest, freshest attempts at defining a world through prose. Have a good time. Come back often.
We've added quite a few changes today. Hopefully you'll enjoy the pictures on a daily basis. I'm currently working on updating the story page to have pictures and a small description of each story. That might take a while though. For now, what is there will do. If you have any comments just email us at comments@doublemuse.com
so...jason did some revisions on one of his stories, now called
"America's Arena", formerly known as "Illiterate." it's good stuff! and I have gone through and fixed a few more little problems that we had. Happy Reading!
Javajunkee.com Shutdown
so because of all the music craziness, my website will be shutdown for a while. the south-east asians have to be led to believe that I've gone out of business ;) I'll post an update on here once my website is back up and running.
We have a
cafepress shop now!! go get some doublemuse.com goodies!!
Hello!!
I've posted new material on the
stories page. check 'em out!
Hello All! I've gone through the site and fixed some problems! there were a few broken/misdirected links, and those have been patched...and I wrote a biography for myself on the "about" section. jscrilla and I are thinking about putting together a booklet--"Selections from Doublemuse: 2005". what do you think? would you pay $5 for something like that? I wouldn't, but I'm not the target audience ;)
hey there, everyone. jason has a couple of new poems that I read recently, so I'll be bugging him to get that posted soon. also, I will bug him to post more of the poetry that I've written since our last publishing. and by the end of the semester (around my birthday--13 december), I will have at least two more stories to post on the site. finally, I was looking through some of my folders on my computer and saw at least two of jason's stories that I don't believe are on the site, so I'll probably bug him about putting those up, too. so keep checking back for more material! you love us!
It's not surprising that this blog hasn't been updated in a while. I figured it was time. I was surfing today and found a good site for everything related to publishing fiction work:
sfwa.org. So check it out and let us know about interesting sites you run across.
Quite a few links off the story and poetry pages were misguided. I helped them find their correct direction, and, while I was at it, decided to add a few more of my stories and poems. I will have some more of Chris' work up this evening so check back for that. In the meantime, look at his website under "
featured poetry" for a display of his latest work.
I posted a new poem entitled "Bete Noire of Spring". One of the things I would like to begin adding to the site is a way for people to respond to pieces. I'll probably be thinking of ways to do this in the near future. For now you can email opinions to jason@jscrilla.com or chris@javajunkee.com.
Chris has a new story online entitled "Cheater". Take a look under Stories for this latest addition.
I put up a new poem that I wrote today entitled "Easter Morning." Check it out under Poems -> Jason Frye.
Chris also has a featured section off
his site.
Want to know about some characteristics of amateur writers compared to professional ones. Well, read this
article and find out.
Since our development stage, we've slacked off on some things. Namely getting more material up and viewable for all our visitors. Well, that is slowly coming to a halt. We've put together some of our stories, mostly by Chris, but they are available. Check em out!
I added a few more poems in the poetry section, under Chris Corning.
we're rockin' this bitch!
check out some of my
bullshit!!
I've got the site up and going, at least for now. Lots of work to do, but at least you have something to look at now, folks. I'll keep you posted on what's happening.
